Standardbreds Available For Adoption

Adoption fees start at $500 and are driven by expenses incurred while retraining, transporting, housing, and providing medical care for the horse.

9-year-old Bay Mare

Courageous is 15.3 hands, sound, and eager to find her forever home. She was too slow to race and her owner wanted her to have a safe new home. She has done well with her training under saddle, stands for the farrier, has good ground manners, has performed in the show ring, and has miles of trail rides. She is loved by all who know her and looks forward to her new home for years of adventures!

Tenant In Chief

20-year-old Bay Gelding

Chief is just over 15h.  You wouldn't know he is 20 years old by his attitude and energy. He retired from a successful racing career in 2013 and then was a Maine Standardbred Sires Stallion 2014-17. He was gelded around the January 2020 time-frame and is doing fine around both geldings and mares but is still in a solo paddock. He is at a foster home and has been doing a lot of trail riding, and that is going very well.
